This Seagrave trailer of 1909 vintage had its service life prolonged in the same manner as had the steam pumpers. Note that the rear wheels remain from its 'horse' days and the Seagrave Type D tractor has easily assumed the role of the team. Trucks were an important improvement: they were fast, they didn't get sick and need a vet, and they didn't need to be 'fed' and exercised when they weren't working.
