No. 2 Hall situated so as to protect the Fernwood district sat on a hill to the east of City Centre. In the days of horse drawn apparatus, it was good to have fire apparatus responding downhill so that the horses wouldn't get tired when responding to an alarm. This building, which was decommissioned as a fire hall in the early 1950s, is now a Boys and Girls club.
